Three mothers:
Aleph, Mem, Shin.
Their foundation is
a palmful of merit
a palmful of guilt
and a tongue of engraved law
balances between them.
Three mothers:
Aleph, Mem, Shin.
A great secret veiled and mysterious,
sealed by six seal-rings.
From them come fire, water, and air
enveloped in male and female.
Three mothers:
Fire above,
water below,
and wind in the middle.
Three mothers:
Aleph, Men, Shin.
Mem hums,
Shin hisses,
Aleph is the breath
the engraved law balancing between them.
Three mothers:
Aleph, Men, Shin
And from them were born three fathers
from whom everything was created.
Three mothers Aleph, Mem, Shin
in the world:
air, water, fire.
Sky was created from fire,
Earth from water,
and air was created from breath
balancing between them.
